YEAR ROUND PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

We offer Camp Wapsie at all times of the year! Come spend time at camp during the fall, winter and spring through our year round programs to enjoy camp fun along with special activities for every season. Through Family Camps, seasonal camps and other exciting programs, children and adults build and strengthen relationships while gaining self-confidence.

Community Programs

Our Community Programs invite people from all walks of life to experience the magic of Camp Wapsie through specialized events. Many of these programs are tied to holidays, creating opportunities for families and friends to come together and make lasting memories. Popular events include our Annual Dessert Exchange, Easter Egg Hunt, and Open House.

In the summer, we also offer Community Swim Lessons, giving children and families the chance to build confidence in the water while learning valuable life skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Family Programs

Our family programs remove distractions and allow families the freedom to focus solely on one another—creating memories that last a lifetime!

Bring your family closer together through outdoor fun at programs like Memorial Day Family Camp, Labor Day Family Camp, Parent/Child Weekends, and Mother/Daughter Camp. Enjoy cabin accommodations and a variety of activities in the great outdoors—an ideal way to foster connections in a safe, beautiful, and supportive environment.

Families of all forms are welcome at Camp Wapsie, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, step-families, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, and more.

Seasonal Camps

Wapsie Seasonal Camps are shorter camps open to youth in 1st through 10th grades. Programs include Halloween Camp, Winter Camp, Spring Fling, and Leadership Weekend (for currently enrolled leadership campers).

Our summer counselors return to lead many of the traditional camp programs alongside seasonally-themed activities, creating unique experiences for every season. Activities may include (weather permitting): archery, canoeing, arts & crafts, games, climbing tower, zip-line, campfires, a dance, sledding, winter activities, and much more fun! Campers also enjoy delicious meals and the comfort of heated cabins.

Meals are served as family style or buffet style depending on the meal. When eating family style food is on the tables to be passed around. Meals are only served during designated meal times. 

We will also eat some meals outdoors when programming and weather allows. 

All cabins are equipped with heating and electricity.  Our traditional cabins have bathrooms with showers, toilets and sinks. The village and a few small cabins, that must be specifically requested have modern restrooms near by. The camp property is open to you and your family at all times during your stay, as well.
