YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area

The Helen G. Nassif YMCA is located in downtown Cedar Rapids and opened in 2002. The facilities features a six lane lap pool and spa, three full size basketball courts, 6 pickleball courts, 4 racquetball courts, a multi-purpose room and a group exercise room. The Helen G. Nassif YMCA also hosts the HGN Preschool, as a 1/12 mile indoor walking track, fitness floor and is home of the MACR Sharks swim team.

The Marion YMCA and Community Rec Center opened in January 2021 and features a six-lane lap pool and spa, zero entry leisure pool with a play area for children, three full size basketball courts with 18 hoops and 6 pickleball courts, two racquetball courts, child watch room, wet classroom, spacious locker rooms for men and women and three family changing rooms. The second floor features a 1/10 mile indoor walking and running track, three group exercise rooms, including a spinning/cycling room, ample cardio and free weight equipment, and a Queenax™ functional training system by Precor®.

The Prairie Summit YMCA will open in spring of 2026. Thew newest addition to the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area is a nearly 100,000 square foot facility that will be the home of the Prairie Hawks swim team and programs.

The Prairie Summit Y has two gym courts, a full field indoor turf area, 2 group exercise rooms, one of the largest indoor YMCA tracks and a full fitness floor with state of the art equipment.

Membership to the Prairie Summit YMCA is open as of March 1.

YMCA Camp Wapsie is a traditional overnight and day camp located 30 miles north of Cedar Rapids, in rural Coggon, Iowa. The site is nestled on 182 acres of scenic land, including lodging for around 280, a scenic waterway for exploring in canoes, a climbing tower with a zipline, an archery range, Ga-Ga pits, an outdoor sports court, a swimming pool, and much more. We serve people of all ages through summer camp, year-round retreats, teambuilding, community, youth, and family programs.
