Beginner Senior Fitness Class
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM

This class is great for seniors who are returning to in-person exercise. The goal of this class is to work on strengthening, stretching, and balance while using chairs. This class is an intro to other senior classes.

Active Senior Fitness Class
10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Marion YMCA

Active Senior Fitness is for those who have been somewhat active on their own and are looking for additional structured dynamic cardiovascular exercise, strength training, balance and flexibility…everything active older adults need to maintain health and function as they age.

Classes will be held Tuesdays AND Thursdays, through December 17th!

Classes are taught by Candy M. and will be held in the Marion YMCA’s gymnasium. Classes will be limited to 10 members per class. Masks/face coverings are required to enter the building. All cleaning will be done by staff.

Members can reserve their spot for classes online AND/OR by calling the Marion YMCA’s front desk at (319) 377-7361. Registration is open up to five days in advance of each class.


Simple Stretch with Denise

Mondays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM

Zoom Meeting

This class will decrease muscle stiffness, improve range of motion, help relieve post-exercise aches and pains, improve posture, manage stress, and may use assistance devices to help get a deeper stretch. This is not a yoga class.
