Youth Cheerleading

Our youth cheerleading program teaches 2nd – 5th graders the fundamentals of cheerleading in a noncompetitive setting. This program offers youth the chance to get active and have fun cheering. Cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with their peers. Plus they’ll get to cheer for our YMCA youth basketball games!

Cheerleading combines gymnastics, tumbling, cardio and dance. Cheerleaders will learn basic chants, cheers and formations. Practices take place at the Stoney Point Studio Mondays at 4 p.m. Games take place on Friday nights at the Stoney Point Gym. For the current schedule, see the Program Guide.

Each cheerleader will receive a t-shirt and cheer shorts.
