Details:
- No other activities or programs will be conducted in the pool or pool area during water exercise classes.
- Classes will be scheduled in 6-week recurring sessions.
- Participants will register for each 6-week session.
- Water Exercise is limited in capacity to 9 participants.
- Participants must be members of the YMCA – there is no cost for the class (classes are FREE with membership)
- Registration can be done in one of three ways
- In-person at the Helen G. Nassif YMCA front desk
- Calling the Helen G. Nassif YMCA at (319) 366-6421
- Online on our website class schedule
- Subsequent registrations will open on the Monday before the new session is scheduled to begin.
HOW THE CLASS WILL OPERATE:
- When you arrive at the Helen G. Nassif YMCA for your class, locker rooms are available for use.
- There is NO entry way onto the pool deck from any of the locker rooms.
- All participants will enter the pool area using the double doors that are beneath the front stairway off of the lobby.
- Participants will be let into the pool area at no earlier than 7:55 AM.
- Please wear a face mask at all times that you are NOT in the swimming pool.
- Upon entering pool area, please find a plastic tote on the pool deck to stow all of your belongings – shoes, towels, and any clothing you may be wearing. There will be one tote on deck for each participant and the class instructor.
- Class begins promptly at 8:00 AM and ends at 8:45 AM.
- If you wish to use the hot tub, you must do so at some point during the class time.
- As class ends at 8:45 AM, please exit the pool deck so the guards can prepare for the 9 AM lap swimmers.
- There will be direct access into the locker rooms from the pool deck. The guards will unlock the door(s) for you.
